Coffee Coding
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how Coffee Coding handles information in connection with HTML Editor. Coffee Coding is responsible for the processing described here. Privacy inquiries can be sent to namchin7@naver.com.
1. Documents stay in your browser
Document text, titles, embedded images, save timestamps, internal document and writer identifiers, and open or closed tab information are stored locally in IndexedDB. Imported files and image optimization are processed on your device. The editor does not upload this content to Coffee Coding or Google Cloud, and there is no cloud backup.
Theme, line wrapping, and the external-image preference are stored in localStorage only if you allow optional preference storage. Otherwise, these settings work in the current tab without being saved for future visits. A necessary local record remembers your storage choice and its date for 180 days. Undo history, cursor positions, and selections are held in memory during the editing session rather than persisted across reloads. See our Cookie & Storage Notice for storage names and deletion instructions. Cookie settings is available from the editor and legal-document footers to change or withdraw permission. Accepting optional storage does not enable external images.
2. Website delivery and Google Cloud hosting
The site is served using Google Cloud hosting. Visiting the site sends your IP address and the technical request information needed to deliver pages and assets to Google's hosting infrastructure. This is separate from your locally edited document content.
Google states that its hosting service uses incoming IP addresses to detect abuse and provide usage analysis, and retains IP data for a few months. This provider-level processing is not the same as adding Google Analytics to the editor. See Google's hosting privacy and security information and the Google Privacy Policy. We do not specify a shorter hosting retention period that we cannot verify or control.
3. Optional Google Analytics; no advertising
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and site usage and improve the service. Analytics is separate from hosting and is not loaded until you allow the Google Analytics category in Cookie settings or select Accept all. Reject optional keeps Analytics off without affecting editing or document autosave.
Google processes cookie identifiers, page visits, interaction data, browser and device information, and IP addresses used to derive approximate location. We do not send your edited HTML, document titles, imported files, or embedded images to Analytics. The page address supplied by our integration excludes query strings and fragments. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled by our integration. See the information about how Google uses data from sites using its services.
Change or withdraw Analytics consent at any time in Cookie settings. Withdrawal stops further collection and removes accessible first-party Analytics cookies; it does not delete data already received by Google. Analytics data retention depends on the property's retention settings and Google's applicable policies. Contact us about provider-held data and deletion requests.
The editor does not include advertising trackers, account registration, payment processing, or AI services. Fonts and the sample image are served with the site rather than loaded from third-party font or image services. We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Optional external connections
If you enable external images, your browser requests image URLs from their original servers. Those providers receive your IP address and request details, including information in the image URL, and may apply their own storage or tracking practices. Images are requested with a no-referrer policy. Select Block external images above the visual editor to block further image loading; this cannot undo information already sent. Following an external link also subjects you to that site's practices.
5. Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and any name, message, or attachments you provide. We use this information to respond, provide support, and address security or legal concerns. Do not send sensitive documents or information that is unnecessary for your inquiry.
Inquiry information is retained only as long as needed to handle the matter and any applicable legal, security, or recordkeeping obligations. Email providers process correspondence to deliver and store it. Contact us for information about retention applicable to a particular inquiry.
6. Purposes, sharing, and international processing
Information is used to provide the requested editor and preferences, deliver and protect the website, measure site usage with your consent, respond to inquiries, and meet legal obligations. Optional Analytics and preference storage rely on your consent. Where a legal basis is required, other processing relies on providing the requested service, legitimate interests in secure operation and responding to inquiries, legal obligations, or consent where required. Any legitimate-interest processing remains subject to applicable rights and safeguards.
Hosting, Analytics, and communications providers may process information to supply their services. Information may also be disclosed where legally required or necessary to protect rights and security. Google's global infrastructure and communications services may process information outside your country. Google's applicable data-processing terms and transfer safeguards are described in its Google Cloud privacy information. Local editing itself does not transfer your documents internationally.
7. Retention, deletion, and security
Local documents remain until you clear them, clear this site's browser storage, or the browser removes them. Closing an editor tab is not deletion. Storage management > Clear all documents removes open and closed documents and their local tab layout and starts a blank document. This action does not clear preferences, Analytics cookies or data, your storage choice, downloaded files, hosting records, or emails. Clear this site's data in your browser to remove preferences, Analytics cookies, and your storage choice as well. Rejecting optional cookies and storage in Cookie settings stops Analytics and removes accessible Analytics cookies and saved editor preferences without deleting documents. Your current in-memory settings remain usable until the tab is reloaded.
Local storage is not an encrypted vault or a backup. People with access to your browser profile, device, or privileged browser extensions may be able to access it. The editor isolates and sanitizes visual HTML, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Use a trusted device and export important work securely.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. You can manage local documents directly through export and deletion controls; we cannot retrieve content that exists only in your browser.
To exercise rights concerning information held by us, contact namchin7@naver.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your request and will respond as required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority where that right applies.
9. Children
The service is a general-purpose editing tool, not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action. Additional protections under local law remain applicable.
10. Changes and contact
We will update this page and its date if our practices change. Material changes will be identified here, with further notice or consent where required. Contact Coffee Coding at namchin7@naver.com with privacy questions.
